Disappointed in size though. We were looking for a pan larger than our #8 cast iron. We wanted the 2 handles also which our pan doesn’t have.
This pan is actually smaller in the base .
It was a know brainer. We have had the 12 inch for 3 years plus and absolutely love it. We just wanted more arsenal in the kitchen. The skillet cooked bacon and eggs right out of the gate with no sticking. We did ordered the seasoned skillet and it gave a jump start out of the gate. You will not regret getting this skillet.
All I can say is why did I wait? My husbands been cooking on Lodge and while he didn’t necessarily complain about it before… now he kinda does. Primarily re: wt and sticking/rougher surface. He loves this pan, lighter weight while Still holding heat well and the nonstick portion is wonderful. We even ordered bare so we could season ourselves and tho it suggests 2 full seasonings we did 1 since we were impatient.. and it’s been great, no sticking. Also love the chain scrubber. Although I don't use the 10.5 skillet nearly as much as the 12 inch, it is definitely a must have for cooking multiple dishes at the same time. Straight out of the box with a gentle wash and right to perfect stick-free eggs. The handle is so comfortable and the factory smooth cooking surface really is a benefit.
right out the box I was able to fry egg. this is my new favorite skillet. I use it every day.
